Brief Profile:

Dr. Sanjiv Saigal serves as the Principal Director and Head of Hepatology and Liver Transplant Medicine at Max Super Specialty Hospital, located in Saket, Delhi, India. As a proficient hepatologist, he has led the medical team responsible for liver transplantation within one of the largest liver transplant programs in India for over two decades, accumulating experience with more than 3,400 liver transplants. He played a crucial role in the establishment of the first successful Transplant Hepatology program in India.

Previously, he held the position of Section Editor for Liver at Doctor NDTV. He is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP, Edinburgh) and also a Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (MAMS), based in New Delhi. Additionally, he has served as a Governing Council Member of the Indian National Association for Study of the Liver (INASL) and has participated in various National Task Forces addressing diseases such as Hepatitis C, Hepatitis B, Acute Liver Failure, Acute-on-Chronic Liver Failure, as well as Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease.
