Dr. Rohit Lamba is an orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training and 20 years of experience, focusing on joint preservation techniques and the salvage of failed or infected joint replacements. He received his training at the esteemed Christian Medical College and Hospital in Ludhiana, recognized as the leading referral center in North India. After earning his Masters in Orthopaedics in 2008, he completed his senior residency at Delhi Government hospitals, which manage the highest volume of trauma cases, thereby enhancing his skills significantly.
He developed a keen interest in knee and shoulder arthroscopic procedures, sports injuries, and complex joint replacements for hips and knees. From 2013 to 2016, he was part of the arthroplasty and arthroscopy unit at Fortis Memorial Research Institute in Gurgaon. Subsequently, he worked at W-Pratiksha Hospital in Gurgaon from 2016 to 2020, where he performed over 100 joint replacement surgeries of varying complexities each month, gaining substantial experience in the field. For the past five years, he has mastered the intricacies of computer-navigated hip and knee joint replacements using the Stryker NAV-3 computer navigation system. He has also managed the arthroplasty and arthroscopy unit at C K Birla Hospital in Gurgaon. Until recently, he led the orthopaedics department at Sanar International Hospital in Gurgaon, accumulating a wealth of experience with over 8000 joint replacements and more than 3000 arthroscopic procedures, which has contributed to the development of a sophisticated practice in high-end orthopaedic surgeries.
His commitment to advancing his skills in arthroplasty and arthroscopy has taken him globally. In 2017, he completed an observership in hip arthroscopy at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, UK, under the guidance of the esteemed hip surgeon Dr. Satish Kutty. He further refined his expertise in hip preservation techniques at the University Hospital Infanta Leonor in Madrid, Spain, in 2019, working with Dr. Oliver Marin Pena, a dynamic hip surgeon with a wealth of research experience.He has also worked alongside him to contribute a chapter to the book 'Hip Preservation Surgery', which was published by ESSKA.
He received his training at the prestigious Helios Endoklinik in Hamburg, Germany, recognized as the leading joint replacement center globally, performing over 8000 surgeries annually. During his time there, he specialized in the unique technique of single-stage revision for infected joint replacements.
Additionally, he completed a fellowship in computer-navigated joint replacement at the renowned Laud clinic in Mumbai, where joint replacements were first developed in India. He is committed to enhancing his skills and knowledge to provide his patients with the highest quality care, always with humility.
