Brief Profile:

Dr. Ramesh Kumar Bapna is the Senior Director of the Department of Cardiac Surgery at Medanta Heart Institute, Gurugram. He performed more than 20,000 open-heart surgeries during his 38-year career. Dr. Bapna specializes in minimally invasive aortic valve surgeries, TMR (transmyocardial revascularization), reoperations (including 3 times reoperations) and radiofrequency atrial fibrillation ablations. He is also an expert in cases of particularly damaged ventricles and ejection fraction less than 30% and in combined operations involving reoperation, multiple valve replacements, bypass and ejection fraction < 30%.
