Dr. Suman Lata is a nephrologist with national and international training, boasting over 15 years of practical experience. She completed her DM Nephrology training at AIIMS, New Delhi. Additionally, she received an ISN fellowship from a prominent transplant center in London, United Kingdom. Dr. Lata founded the Department of Nephrology & Renal Transplantation at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, an autonomous institution under the Government of Delhi. The renal unit has since been recognized as a leading center of excellence for comprehensive Nephrology care in the area.

Dr. Suman has participated in numerous research initiatives focusing on renal issues related to liver diseases. She played a key role in establishing the DNB Nephrology training program at the Institute. In 2017, she took on the role of Director of Nephrology and Kidney Transplant at Narayana Superspeciality Hospital in Gurugram and Dharamshala Superspeciality Hospital in New Delhi. She was pivotal in launching a Nephrology and kidney transplant program at both facilities. Furthermore, Dr. Suman initiated the DNB Nephrology program at Dharamshila Narayana Superspeciality Hospital.

From July 2022 to March 2024, she served as the Director of Nephrology & Kidney Transplant at Fortis Hospital Vasant Kunj and Fortis Shalimar Bagh. Dr. Suman has participated in over fifty national and international conferences and has contributed to various seminars, CMEs, and symposiums as a chairperson and speaker. She frequently delivers public lectures and organizes awareness programs for the community.
