Brief Profile:

Dr. Asit Arora commenced his medical career at Kasturba Medical College in Mangalore, Karnataka, where he earned his MBBS degree in 2003. His quest for excellence took him to SMS Medical College in Jaipur, where he completed his post-graduation in General Surgery in 2007. Driven by a strong interest in gastrointestinal surgery, he furthered his specialization by enrolling at the G.B. Pant Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research in New Delhi, culminating in an M.Ch. in Surgical Gastroenterology in 2012.

Dr. Arora’s professional journey has been as remarkable as his academic achievements. After joining the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) in New Delhi as an Assistant Professor, he swiftly ascended to the position of Associate Professor of HPB Surgery, a role he held until 2017. His dedication to the advancement of the field led him to establish the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology and GI Oncosurgery at Dharamshila Narayana Super Speciality Hospital, where he served as a Senior Consultant until December 2019. Presently, he holds the position of Director & Head of the Division of GI & HPB Oncology at Max Super Speciality Hospital in Saket, Gurugram, and at Max Smart.

Renowned for his approachable nature and patient-centered methodology, Dr. Arora is recognized not only as the leading onco surgeon in Delhi but also as a caring practitioner who attentively addresses his patients’ concerns.
