Dr. Sumit Singh, a distinguished graduate of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences and recipient of the BL SONI Gold Medal, commenced his tenure as a faculty member at the institute in 2000. In 2002, he pioneered the establishment of the first Headache Clinic within the government sector in India at AIIMS. Renowned for his expertise in headache disorders, he played a crucial role in co-authoring the headache management guidelines tailored for the Indian subcontinent. That same year, he introduced the use of Botulinum toxin for headache treatment in India and subsequently expanded its application to patients suffering from trigeminal neuralgia.
