About Doctor
Dr. Randhir Sud, chairman of the Department of Digestive and Hepatobiliary Sciences, is a distinguished doctor of gastroenterology. He worked to establish therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy in India. He started the Gastrointestinal Oncology program in India. In 2008, he won the Padmashri Award for his contribution to gastroenterology. His expertise lies in gastrointestinal endoscopy, gastrointestinal cancers and liver diseases. He began his career as a junior resident in January 1979 at AIIMS, New Delhi. He also served as a senior resident between 1982 and 1984 at AIIMS. He then served as a GE consultant at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi in 1985.
