Dr. Naresh Trehan, an alumnus of King George Medical College, is a distinguished Cardiovascular and Cardiothoracic surgeon who received his training and practiced at New York University Medical Center in Manhattan, USA. He holds recognition from both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Cardiothoracic Surgery. Currently, Dr. Trehan serves as the Chairman and Managing Director of Medanta - The Medicity, a 1500-bed multi-specialty institution that provides advanced technology and state-of-the-art treatment options at reasonable prices. The Institute operates under the core values of delivering medical care to patients with compassion, dedication, and commitment. Prior to realizing his vision, Dr. Trehan was the executive director and founder of the Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre, which he conceptualized, established, and managed from 1987 until May 2007. He has been honored with numerous prestigious accolades, including the Padma Shree and Padma Bhushan Awards from the Government of India.
